Irresponsible Lion Walking Article & Our Response

On 31st July, The Independent published this article online, effectively endorsing walking with lions in Zimbabwe.

It opens by claiming that "taking a stroll with the king of the jungle might sound like one of the most dangerous activities going - but it's actually part of a revolutionary conservation project."

Now we all know by now that absolutely no walking with lions experience benefits lion conservation in any way, and in fact these walks are prepping lions to be tamed for canned hunting.

I was invited by League Against Cruel Sports to write a letter to The Independent in response, signing alongside some of the biggest charities in the world - Born Free Foundation, Four Paws, International Fund for Animal Welfare, Campaign Against Canned Hunting and LACS. Our letter was published online and I've copied it below!
